"Adams Insight Tech A4 Hybrid: Do not judge a club by its head size" 2008-11-10
By J. Ginter
I was in need of a new fairway wood as my favorite wood appeared to be over-used and outdated (it is literally made out of wood ). I was originally intending to purchase Nike's new Sumo fairway (3 wood) because of its new box/square design however, after swinging this club, there was no comparison between the two. I test-drove both clubs at the closest Golf Galaxy store and fell in love with the Adams Insight A4. The A4 Hybrid has a small club head yet packs a lot of power and control. I was consistently driving 280 with this club while the slightly larger Nike Sumo was hitting around 250 with some variation in control. The shafts of both clubs are fairly similar and had no noticeable difference in terms of feel. I highly recommend the A4 Hybrid to any player of any level who has a decent level of swing control and is looking to increase the distance of their fairway wood. My A4 is currently out of commission as I just shut the trunk of my car on the graphite shaft. It now has to go back to Adams for repair.

The Adams a3 OS 13-piece ladies' set is designed for the player looking for style and performance. From the woods to the hybrids all the way through the wedges, each club was designed to fit together and offer forgiveness, confidence and style. This complete set takes the guesswork out of purchasing because everything you need is in the bag.

Women’s 13-piece Set Make-up:

Driver:
High MOI, 460cc titanium driver. The largest size driver allowed by the USGA for maximum distance and power.
3 & 5 Fairway Wood:
Patented low profile club face lowers the center of gravity and provides more effective hitting area for easy to hit shots
4, 5 & 6 Boxer Hybrids:
Replace traditional hard-to-hit long irons with three easy-to-hit Boxer hybrids that give you the forgiveness and playability you need.
7, 8 & 9 Hybrid Irons:
Three iron-like hybrids move the weight low and back and better launch angles and consistency with approach shots. They transition the launch conditions between the Boxer hybrids and the wedges for consistent gapping while having the benefits of hybrid technology.
PW, GW & SW:
Precisely positioned center of gravity and a large sweetspot makes these clubs the easiest-to-hit short irons offered and allow you to hit your shots with pinpoint accuracy.
Putter:
Contemporary mallet style putter with heel toe weighting
Shafts:
- Lightweight Grafalloy 50-gram graphite shaft in the driver and fairway woods
- Lightweight Grafalloy 55 gram shaft in the hybrids & irons
Women's Cart Bag:
A highly functional cart bag color-coordinated with clubs in the set.
